Wedding proposal at The Sarojin

Here at The Sarojin, we understand the importance of making your wedding day one of the most special and memorable experiences of your life, so we go the extra mile to ensure you can enjoy wedded bliss in true luxury at our resort. We’ll take care of every aspect of your wedding day, from the flowers and catering, to your wedding cake and photographer – just let us know what your heart desires and we’ll plan you an unforgettable declaration of love!

Breathtaking backdrops…

When it comes to choosing the perfect backdrop to your special day, whatever your imagination desires we can make it happen here at The Sarojin. Whether you want to say ‘I do’ under the shade of the sea almond trees on our secluded 11km stretch of white sand beach, atop a mountain with breathtaking views of the Andaman Sea, beneath our grand ancient Ficus tree in The Sarojin’s gardens or on a private sand isle only accessible by boat – there’s an option to suit all themes and wedding styles.

For a truly mesmerising location to eat, drink and be married why not opt for an intimate ceremony beside a cascading jungle waterfall – idyllic by day but even more stunning by night when illuminated by hundreds of candles, it’s a truly magical place to be wed.

Depending on the tranquil setting you choose, we can accommodate up to 100 guests per ceremony or alternatively you can exclusively hire the whole of the resort, including all 56 guest residences and all of our facilities, for up to 130 guests for the ultimate private event.

East or west, you choose…

We offer both Thai and Western style weddings here at The Sarojin and can arrange anything from a legal marriage ceremony and traditional Buddhist blessing to a romantic renewal of vows. Our Western ceremonies include a celebrant, readings, music, an exchange of vows and rings and a wedding toast with the all-important cutting of the cake!

For a more authentic Eastern experience, our Thai weddings include a spiritual Buddhist blessing, an exchange of vows and rings and a traditional Thai holy water ceremony. Here symbolic ‘binding’ strings are laid onto the bride and groom’s heads representing their union and sacred dots are placed on each of their foreheads. Holy water is then poured over the couple’s hands into a lotus flower bowl, symbolising fertility while prayers are offered to the couple.

The final touches to the perfect day…

We know there’s no one-size-fits-all when it comes to weddings, so we personalise every celebration to suit each couple. Our optional extras include hairstyling and makeup to ensure you’re looking your best when you walk down the aisle, videographers to capture your special day on film and entertainment including local bands, performers, dancers and traditional drum processions. We can even arrange traditional Thai outfits for you and your partner if you choose!

Many couples opt to mark the occasion with the release of traditional Thai spirit lanterns into the sky to bring their new marriage luck. Here, you and your guests can each light a lantern and watch as it drifts up into the star-studded sky above. To end your day with a bang, we can also arrange a spectacular firework display that can be viewed from our beach while guests enjoy a glass of champagne and toast to your “happy ever after”.

So, if you’re planning your big day and love the idea of a destination wedding to remember, speak to our experienced events team at The Sarojin and let us make your wedding dreams come true – we’re on hand to help you through every step of your wedding planning.
