Dear Andrew and Kate, I hope you don't mind me contacting you like this, but my Mum and her husband (Anne and Brian Chapman) gave me your contact details. Laura and I stayed at your stunning hotel from Fri 28th Feb until Fri 6th March and I have to say that it is by the far the best hotel we have ever stayed at. Over the last 10 years Laura and I have travelled throughout Asia usually staying in luxury boutique hotels and we thought we had seen everything, however The Sarojin and the staff have exceeded everything we thought was possible. From the arrival until the day we left and even the days we returned to go to the spa everything was exceptional. The main reason for our stay at The Sarojin was to get married on the 4th March and even that was handled so professionally that neither of us had to worry about anything. It was just a perfect day. What was also so amazing was all the staff knew who we were (along with the family and friends who also stayed at The Sarojin during that time) and were congratulating us and chatting to us all the time. It was like being welcomed into a family and that is really something special and something we will never forget. When we checked out on Fri 6th we were supposed to start our honeymoon at a different resort in Khao Lak. The only reason we didn't stay at The Sarojin for our honeymoon was because family and friends were still staying there. This was indeed a massive mistake as the honeymoon resort which was recommended by Kuoni was truly terrible and we wasted half the honeymoon trying to negotiate a new hotel to move to. Even at that point members of staff at The Sarojin were offering us a hotel room and also saying we could use the facilities during the day. That was so wonderful of them, but we couldn't take them up on the offer as we felt it was unfair on the other guests there. It's an exclusive resort and we respect that. However, we have decided to have our delayed honeymoon and 1st anniversary at The Sarojin next year and have already reserved a room for 13 nights from 28th Feb next year. Obviously we can't wait to return 'home'. One thing I would like to comment on is the smoking at The Sarojin. I was wondering if you would consider having designated smoking areas out of the way of other guests. We didn't notice it too much around the pool, however at the Edge bar you can smoke everywhere and the unfortunate thing is people smoking in the front couple of rows means that due to the sea breeze everyone else has to get caught up in their fumes too which is not peasant. It would be great if perhaps there was an area out of the way that they have to go to smoke so that it doesn't affect the other guests. Finally thank you so much for only allowing children of a certain age at your resort. If you allow younger children and families you would definitely lose that exclusive and so relaxing feel of the place. That sort of oasis is really hard to find so it would be devastating if you started allowing that to happen. On a separate note we would like to pass on a special thanks to Kade, Jenny, Nee and Nick for everything they did during our stay. To Naa, Lula, App and Tom for everything they did for our wedding day and to all the spa staff as well. We ended up have 14.5 hours of massages during our stay, which is quite a lot considering we only stayed for 1 week. Haha. Dear Andrew and Kate, once again, we had a wonderful time at The Sarojin. We were delighted by the upgrades to The Edge and to the Cellar Bar. The standards of service, quality of food, accommodation, the grounds, as well as the Spa treatments, have all been maintained since our last visit, which is some achievement and reflects the training and calibre of the staff. It was a pleasure to see Khun Kade again and to meet lots of new faces. Also of course, the management of the Wedding of Anne's son Stuart to Laura was magnificent. Dear Andrew and Kate, Thank you for your email. We had another wonderful threeweek holiday at the Sarojin. (Unfortunately a 33 hour journey home, including sleeping on a bench in Helsinki Airport due to a cancelled flight, never the less super memories of another stay at this paradise)! This really is our favourite hotel in a super location with great facilities, therefore we love to keep returning on an annual basis. The upgrading of the Ficus with more comfortable seating in the bar area is much appreciated by us and other guests. One of the Sarojin's greatest assets of course are your staff who always smile when they greet you, deliver a first class service with enthusiasm, efficiency and a friendly demeanour. They all appear to enjoy their jobs and that certainly comes across to guests. They should be congratulated on the service they provide and are an asset to making the Sarojin such a special place. We appreciate we are all living through a very difficult period globally at present, therefore we assume you as the owners will have to make some hard decisions. We hope you will be able to find a solution to be able to retain your faithful and dedicated teams who deliver the unique Sarojin experience.
