One of the main reasons we chose Khao Lak as the location for The Sarojin was its stunning natural beauty, which is something we’re constantly looking to preserve for both our local community and guests to enjoy.
Under the “One Booking One Tree” scheme The Sarojin works with local community authorities supporting mangrove reforestation and commits to planting a minimum of one tree for every booking made at The Sarojin. As with all our community and environmental projects guests are invited to join the regular planting days.

We operate a number of ‘Sarojin Cares’ initiatives to help our local community, limit our energy and water consumption, reduce our plastic usage and waste, decrease our carbon footprint and generally minimise impact on the environment.
Our monthly ‘Sarojin Cares’ days have been running since 2011, with our team participating once a month in a local environmental or community activity – including clean ups, restorations, beach and national parks’ maintenance projects, mangrove planting initiatives, child education support, child day care support at the local Camillian Centre – a day care facility for disabled children, and other projects supported by The Sarojin Khao Lak Community Fund – all which our guests can get involved with too!
Most recently we eliminated use of all plastic water bottles and all single-use plastics in the resort, we’ve installed a brand-new on-site bottling plant, and provide a complimentary re-usable personal water bottle for use by every guest during their stay. Our gorgeous aroma amenities are now dispensed in re-usable ceramics, we’ve ditched the straw and expanded our plant-based, vegetarian and vegan menu offerings ….. And we’re not stopping there!
For more suggestions on how you can enjoy “Sarojin Cares” activities during your stay with us please see our various Sarojin Cares Packages available.
